What is Mohs surgery?

What is Mohs surgery?

Mohs surgery is a specialized type of skin cancer removal surgery. After removing visible skin cancer, your surgeon will remove a thin layer of the surrounding skin and inspect it under a microscope to ensure all skin cancer cells were removed. If any are found, your surgeon will continue removing additional layers of skin and inspecting them until no cancer cells remain.
